1R Officials Come and Try Day - 6th December 2025 !

Do you want to become a motorsport official and experience the thrill of being close to the on-track action?
Do you want to contribute to the safe, efficient and fun operation of the sport we all love?
Well, we are recruiting new motorsport officials for 2026 and beyond, and we're giving you the chance to taste the action at our 1R Officials Come and Try Day on Saturday, 6 December.
During the day, you will find out:
- How to become an official.
- The types of officials who attend a motorsport event, their roles and
responsibilities.
- The structure of officials' licences, how to obtain a licence and how to receive an
upgrade.
- How to marshal at a trackside flag point, in pit lane or in the marshalling area
- Radio protocols for all roles
- How race control operates during a motorsport event
- What happens during a critical incident
We are also running a track day on Sunday, 7 December - if you attend our Come and Try Day, you are welcome to stay overnight in our on-site accommodation and put your newly-learned skills into practice during our track day.
